DELIVERY REVIEW GUIDE

Website ad renewal checklist for brand teams

A renewal is a new buying decision. Before your brand commits to another fixed-fee website placement, review what was agreed, what your team could check and what the publisher now offers. Starting a new period should not silently carry over the earlier price or approval.

1. Find the terms that actually took effect

  • Identify the offer version your team approved and accepted.
  • Find the publisher’s confirmation for that same version.
  • Check the agreed brand, market, page, position, devices, dates, timezone and fee.
  • Keep later messages and amendments beside the agreement.

An old quote or an internal approval alone may not describe the placement both sides agreed to. Resolve that gap before judging delivery against it.

2. Review public page checks with their limits

For each check, record the page URL, time, relevant device or viewport and the condition being compared. Note whether the placement was visible, differed from the agreement or could not be checked. Review any publisher explanation alongside the original observation.

  • Was the expected brand or creative visible in the agreed position?
  • Did the destination link match what was agreed, where it could be checked?
  • Were mobile and desktop commitments reviewed separately where relevant?
  • Were there access or geographic limits that prevented a conclusion?

A single check describes a moment. It does not establish continuous delivery across the buying period. An inaccessible page does not prove a placement was removed, and a visible placement does not establish impressions, clicks or conversions.

3. Resolve open delivery questions

Keep differences, follow-up messages and any proposed remedy connected to the agreement. Distinguish a publisher’s explanation from your team’s acceptance of delivery. Confirm who is responsible for the next action and the date they need to respond. A payment record does not establish that delivery was accepted.

4. Compare the next offer with the previous period

Check price, currency, tax basis, dates, timezone, page, position, format, devices, exclusivity and other restrictions again. A familiar publisher may offer a different scope. Use the quote comparison guide to make those changes visible, and request a revised quote when a condition is unclear.

5. Record a decision and its reason

Possible decisions for the next buying period
DecisionWhat to record
RenewThe next offer and the reason your team wants to continue.
Expand or adjustThe proposed scope change and conditions needing agreement.
StopThe reason for ending the placement and any remaining follow-up.
DeferThe unanswered question, responsible person and next review date.

Use your team’s own reliable performance information where available, and identify its source and scope. Public page evidence alone does not establish return on investment.

6. Give the next period its own approval

Keep the previous agreement available as a reference. Ask an authorized approver to review the new offer and record both sides’ confirmation before treating it as an accepted placement. Separate the placement renewal from your Datacow software subscription: each has its own terms and decision.

See public page checks and renewals in Datacow, review the approval workflow, or prepare the next request with the brand placement brief.

Review the complete website advertising buying process when the next purchase needs a fresh record.

What if a delivery discrepancy is still open at renewal?

Keep the earlier difference and any agreed remedy with the earlier purchase. A renewed placement does not establish that the prior problem was corrected. Use the website ad discrepancy record to identify the current evidence, responsible person and next review before making a separate decision on the new offer.

Bring one website ad quote into a shared workspace.

Keep the original quote, exact page and device conditions, approval and delivery evidence together. Start with a publisher your team already works with.

No card is required to register. Create your workspace and verify your work email; registration does not start an evaluation or a subscription. An eligible workspace owner can separately activate a 14-day evaluation when a live quote is ready. Review evaluation access and software pricing.
